SLIME CLUB

Junior Lifeguarding

Jr lifeguard - The American Red Cross introduces the revised Junior Lifeguarding program, which is designed to guide youths ages 11-14 to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course. The course focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills of future lifeguards. Program Highlights -A defined course with a set lesson plan that includes developing swimming skills and practicing in-water rescues. The course is designed to be taught in approximately 24 hours -Introduction to first aid, CPR and AED knowledge and skills. -Certificate of completion for participants who successfully complete the course. The certificate does not indicate that the person is trained to be a lifeguard, and there is no validity period. Junior Lifeguard generally include
swimming skills, water competency, and other skills
Swimming skills
Swim 25 yards of front crawl
Swim 25 yards of breaststroke
Swim 100 yards continuously
Tread water for a minute
Swim on the back for 25 yards
Submerge and swim 10 feet underwater
Water competency
Complete a water competency sequence without stopping
Step into water from the side and fully submerge
Maintain position for one minute by treading water or floating
Other skills
Learn first aid, CPR, and AED
Learn ocean safety, rescue techniques, and beach activities
Learn Marine Safety operations
Learn to deal with various water safety situations
Learn to work in a team
Learn to demonstrate courtesy, respect, and good sportsmanship
Xcelerate Youth Fitness

Designed for boys and girls ages 11-14, this high-energy class focuses on building strength, speed, agility, and endurance through fun and challenging athletic drills. Using a mix of bodyweight exercises, resistance training, and dynamic movements, participants will develop coordination, power, and overall fitness to enhance their athletic performance. Whether they?re training for a sport or just looking to get stronger and more confident, this class will help them improve their skills in a supportive and motivating environment. All fitness levels welcome!
